Steroids in youth environment

Every day steroids are more common in youth environment. This news is very sad that some of 8th graders did steroids already. People should work out when they turn 17-18. This is because organism is more resistant, and working out can make less harm. If 8th graders work out, and they pull 20kg on the back they will messed up their back for life. Also people who work out when they are young might stop growing or damage bones. Working out as being young is little dangerous, however using steroids at that age is way worst. Steroids are addiction like alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs. People, who once taste it and were working out on anabolic, can not imagine working out with out them. The number of teenagers taking steroids is increasing every year, and as they are getting older, more of them are taking steroids too. The most shocking thing is that the addiction to the life time is increasing for those individuals what is bad.

Steroid Abuse in Today's Society...

Once viewed as a problem strictly associated with body builders, fitness buffs, and professional athletes, the abuse of steroids is revalent in today’s society. In reality, the problem is widespread including school-age children, athletes, business professionals, etc.
Some people are taking dietary supplements that act as steroid precursors without any knowledge of the dangers associated with their abuse. Dietary supplements are sold in health food stores, over the internet, and through mail order. People believe that these supplements will produce the same desired effects as steroids, but at the same time avoid the medical consequences associated with using steroids. This belief is dangerous. Supplements may also have the same medical consequences as steroids.
The short-term adverse physical effects of anabolic steroid abuse are fairly well known. However, the long-term adverse physical effects of anabolic steroid abuse have not been studied, and as such, are not known. Abuse of anabolic steroids may result in harmful side-effects as well as serious injury and death. The abuser in most cases is unaware of these dangers. It is important to recognize this problem and take preventive measures to protect athletes and other users.

Street Name For Steroids

Steroids are not only known by the name of anabolic or steroids. There are also other names to describe them like: Arnolds, gym candy, pumpers, stackers, juice.

Cycles

Steroids also have a cycle in which we should take them. Depending on the steroid, it shows how long the cycle would take. Cycles are always counted weekly. Overdose of steroids can kill. That is because of a heart of human being. Heart is a muscle itself and using steroids would increase heart attacks and strokes. These two are most common with steroids that are oral consumption.

Anabolics Smuggling

In countries where anabolic steroids are illegal or controlled, the most of teroid are comming illegally through black market. These steroids are usually bought in other countries, and must be smuggled across international borders. Smuggling of anabolic steroids often occurs with other illegal drugs, however we don’t hear about people smuggling anabolic getting caught as often as people who smuggle cannabis or heroin.

Mechanism of steroids

The effect of anabolic steroids on muscle mass is caused in at least two ways:

  • first, they increase the productin of proteins,

  • second, they reduce recovery time by blocking the effects of stress hormone cortisol on muscle tissue, so that catabolism of muscle is greatly reduced.

Anabolic steroids also affect the number of cells that develop into fat-storage cells, by favouring cellular differentiation into muscle cells instead.
